    We are currently accepting applications for a Restorative Practice Coach at Ruskin High School.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor\"s degree in Social Work, School Counseling, Education, or other related field (Master\"s degree preferred)
    • Two or more years experience implementing restorative practices within a school setting required
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal
    • Proven ability to mediate conflict situations
    • Demonstrated commitment as life-long learner who is open to ongoing training for refinement of practice

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Build positive relationships with school staff, administration, school support team, students, community partners, and families
    • Facilitate peace, intake, exit, and re-entry circles in accordance with Restorative Practices principles in order to build and upkeep a strong school community
    • Facilitate formal restorative conferences with students, staff, and parents in more serious situations of harm
    • Support teachers inside the classroom through observation, coaching, and modeling of restorative practices
    • Provide students with crisis intervention/de escalation services and a space for regulation, repair, and re-entry into the learning environment
    • Assist in monitoring a "feed-back" loop for administrators, educators, and students to use in order to express concerns/testimonials about the process of implementing
    • Conduct caregiver modules covering restorative practices monthly after school
    • Conduct student modules covering restorative practices monthly during school hours
    • Serve as a member of the district Restorative Practices team and assist building principal in embedding restorative practice philosophies into school culture (meeting once monthly)
    • Lead the coordination of building restorative practice team (meeting once monthly)
    • Other duties as assigned by building principal

    Term of Employment: 185 Days

    Reports to: Coordinator of Student and Family Services

    All persons recommended for employment must pass an extensive background check through the Division of Family Services, the Missouri Highway Patrol, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
