Job Description

A reputable and growing Agronomy company is looking to add a Sales Agronomist to their team. A competitive compensation and benefits package will be offered to the right individual.

Sales Agronomist Responsibilities:

  • Make seed, fertilizer, and herbicide recommendations to growers
  • Build and maintain strong long-term customer relationships to promote repeat business
  • Manage and grow a sales territory through prospecting and customer service
  • Prepare sales presentations, contracts, and proposals to ensure successful transactions
  • Work alongside agronomy staff to support daily operations and customer success
  • Keep up to date on agronomy services, seed technology, crop protection products, and Precision Ag technology
  • Forecast product and supply needs on a monthly and annual basis

Sales Agronomist Qualifications:

  • Agronomy sales experience preferred
  • Existing book of business preferred, but not required
  • Degree in Agronomy/Agriculture preferred or equivalent experience
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with a team

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Compensation ranging from $60,000-$120,000 depending on experience
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Company vehicle provided for outside sales
  • Territory opportunities available in Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, and Missouri
