What You'll Be Doing

Our Data Analyst position is onsite in our St. Louis, MO headquarters for summer 2026.

The Data Analyst Intern will work closely with Stifel’s data analysis team to support data-driven projects and initiatives. The Intern will collaborate with business users, product managers, and development teams to analyze, document, and refine data processes, all while gaining hands-on experience in data extraction, reporting, and analysis.

What We're Looking For
  • Conduct data extraction and analysis using SQL, create reports to support business needs, and respond to ad-hoc data requests.
  • Document data requirements, perform quality checks, and ensure data accuracy to support effective decision-making.
  • Research best practices, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and collaborate with team members to implement solutions.
  • Partner with business users and product management to clarify and refine data requirements, supporting the development of data-driven solutions.
What You'll Bring
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on logical reasoning, data relationships, and documentation.
Education & Experience
  • Minimum Required: Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field with at least one year of college completed.
Licenses & Credentials
  • Minimum Required: None.
Systems & Technology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Python, AWS, or similar tools is preferred.
