The City of Springfield is committed to attracting individuals to careers in municipal government for the betterment of the organization and community at-large. The City's Internship Program is designed to build interest and awareness of career opportunities within local government for students. These internships provide an opportunity for the City to meet and build relationships with promising students who desire a career in municipal government or a career area offered by the City. In addition, the program enables college and graduate students to enhance their academic course work, create a network of contacts, and gain valuable on-the-job experience and exposure needed to pursue their careers.

- Qualifications and Requirements
Experience, Education & Training
PREFERRED- Undergraduate junior level or above attending a regionally accredited college or university;
AND- GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 system.
Licensing/Certification- None required.
